Quick Action Widgets NOT working

This is a fantastic app! I was so excited to hear about a development with widgets. But the widget is a huge letdown. High expectations for a great company and they didnt deliver. (Im under the impression that) There has been an update since the app introduced a widget, but this issue has not budged a single bit.
The only way to get quick actions to work is to open the app, which entirely defeats the point of using a widget.
